Batang Pinoy softball conquered Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao for the elimination
rounds. Headed by the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL),
they were able to pull-off a series of successful and well attended games for this
year’s Batang Pinoy. “We would like to thank Philippine Sports Commission and Philippine
Olympic Committee for staging this year’s Batang Pinoy. The more tournaments we
have the better for our athletes.” said Jun Veloso, ASAPHIL Operations Manager.
“More tournaments mean more venues to exhibit our talents.” Veloso added.
Various teams from different regions also competed in the event; Makati City landed
fourth place, General Santos City ended fifth and Cebu City and Negros Occidental
took the last two slots.
