It's all green for the coming of the Cebuana Lhuillier Slo-pitch softball team, winner of the past two Pangaea Cup titles and Asian Slo-pitch title holder on July 15-17.

Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL) Slo-Pitch Softball commissioner Jean Henri Lhuillier will bring with him the entire squad that won the Bangkok International Slo-Pitch League last year, the Cebuana Lhuillier and its sister team Le Soleil de Boracay for a clinic which will be held at the Cebu City Sports Center field on July 15 and the one-day demonstration tournament at the Cebu Boardwalk on July 16.

This activity is part of Jean Henri Lhuillier's vision to promote slo-pitch to the entire nation and develop softball and baseball athletes.

"I am looking at holding the first Asian Championship Tournament here in the Philippines in 2006 with at least eight foreign teams competing and from there, look forward to qualifying the world championship slate next year," said the youthful Lhuillier.

Lhuillier's lieutenant in Cebu, Rayner Sangil of the Cebu Flag Football League is looking forward to opening a slo-pitch tournament sometime in August.

The expertise and international exposure of the Cebuana Lhuillier team and the vigor of the Cebuanos for softball would surely bring the sports to an instant height.

The clinic will teach the basics of the game, the rules and the technicalities, which differs from the regular fastpitched softball.

The Cebuana Lhuillier team is cored from the mainstay of the RP Blu Boys that also includes at least three Cebuano players who rose into the national level despite the lack of tournaments and exposures in Cebu.

Lhuillier himself is a player of the team and is among the vital cog and reason on its winning run.

The rooster includes Lhuillier, Davy Lan Perez (Head Coach/Manager/Player), Kiko Diaz (Assistant Coach/Player), Bubut Dizer (Assistant Coach/Player), Randy Dizer (Assistant Coach/Player), Oscar Bradshaw, Apol Rosales, Manuel Binarao, Jasper Cabrera Romy Bumagat, Ben Maravilles, Fidel Moncera, Anthony Santos, Lando Binarao, Mark Rae Ramirez, Julius Visaya, Alex Estipular, Rayner Sangil, Ron Sangil, Jeff Hardillo, Denis Nuevo, Pato Moral and Sherwin Tabar.
