Pawnshop chain Cebuana Lhuillier recently held a softball clinic for girls as part of its continuing efforts to inspire the younger generation to get involved in sports.

Held at the Alabang Country Club, the clinic is part of the ongoing initiative of SEA Games softball team manager and Cebuana Lhuillier Executive Vice-President and General Manager, Jean Henri Lhuillier with Oscar Marcelino, Nina Serafico, Ulysis Mejia Pepe Munoz and Manila Slo-pitch Softball League (MSSL) Commissioner Lan Perez acting as clinic facilitators.

For three days the participants were taught the rudiments of the game as well as pointers on how to play it best in the hope that they will carry on their interest in the sport and someday represent the country in international competitions.

Prior to this, Cebuana Lhuillier also held a similar clinic for tennis with no less than Southeast Asian Games double gold medallist Cecil Mamiit and teammates, PJ Tierro and Johnny Arcilla.
