In celebration of Baguio’s centennial year, the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL) is invited to hold a 2-day softball clinic spearheaded by ASAPHIL President, Mr. Jean Henri D. Lhuillier.
The event will be held from October 3 to 4, 2008 at the Melvin Jones Grounds in Baguio City. Over a hundred participants from grade school to collegiate level from St. Louis University, University of the Cordilleras, Philippine Military Academy (PMA) and members of softball clinics in the city are expected to join the softball clinic. Members of the RP-Cebuana Lhuillier softball team will serve as the coaches of the participants.
ASAPHIL President Mr. Lhuillier will also donate softball equipments to the City of Baguio as part of his and the association’s thrust to further advocate the sport especially to the youth in the country. ASAPHIL Secretary General Danny Francisco, Operations Manager Mr. Jun Veloso and Coordinator Joel Panes will also grace the softball festivities.
This event will officially open Baguio’s year-long centennial celebration which will culminate on September 2009.
